Meta’s Metaverse vision – The Builder Bot
Meta has made it evident that it would significantly invest in the metaverse vision. The most recent move in that direction is the description of numerous large projects that greatly rely on artificial intelligence (AI).
Indeed, Meta is developing a Builder Bot tool that will allow users to construct 3D things and locations in the metaverse just by expressing what they want to see. The ability of Builder Bot to create 3D objects around the user can be a significant push for machine-generated art.
Meta also states that they will collaborate with university teachers and a student demographic to make the machine learning program available to more students.
Russia banned British Airlines in response to UK’s ban for Aeroflot
Russia’s civil aviation authority has restricted British Airlines to and over Russia due to the British restriction on Aeroflot flights.
According to Rosaviatsiya, they have banned all flights from the United Kingdom to Russia and transit flights from February 25.
It stated that Russia did the action in reaction to “unfriendly choices” made by British authorities. That barred flights to the UK by Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot as part of sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Russia blocked Ukraine’s airspace following their military invasion.
Moldova also announced the closure of its airspace, and Belarus closed a portion of its airspace on February 24.
Russia captured Chernobyl – The city where the greatest nuclear tragedy occured
Chernobyl, the site of the world’s greatest nuclear tragedy in April 1986, has since been taken over by Russia.
The complex, which a protective shell has shielded since a catastrophic accident, spewed radioactive waste over thousands of square kilometers. It is located just north of Chernobyl town and near the city of Pripyat.
The horrible nuclear tragedy forced the evacuation of millions of people from Chernobyl and Pripyat. And the exact number of casualties is still unclear.
Following Russia’s conquest of the area, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that his country’s soldiers were fighting to guarantee that to not repeat the tragedy that happened in 1986.
“Our defenders are giving their lives,” he added. And also saying that “this is a declaration of war against the entire continent of Europe.”
Operation Ganga: Evacuation of second batch of 250 Indian people from Romania
India took back the second batch of 250 Indian people from Romania on February 27 as part of ‘Operation Ganga.
When the Air India (AI)-192 special flight from the Romanian capital Bucharest landed at the Delhi airport, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia greeted them with flowers.
Scindia stated that PM Modi is in touch with the Ukrainian President and Russian President to evacuate further individuals.
With this, they have evacuated 469 Indian people from war-torn Ukraine. Two hundred nineteen of them arrived in Mumbai on February 26 evening.
Meanwhile, the third flight to the national capital, carrying 240 Indian people, has set off from Budapest, Hungary.
Ukraine-Russia War: Germany decides to send armaments to Ukraine
Olaf Scholz, Germany’s Chancellor, has said that Germany will provide armaments directly to Ukraine.
He stated that Germany would deploy 1,000 anti-tank weaponry and 500 Stinger missiles.
Berlin has also lifted several limitations on sending German-made weaponry to crisis zones, allowing third nations to supply more guns to Ukraine.
Simultaneously, German officials have stated that they are working on blocking Russia’s access to the Swift global interbank payment system in a “targeted” manner that “hits the appropriate individuals” while avoiding collateral harm.
Germany’s three-party coalition government comprised socialists, liberals, and Greens. These have struggled to formulate a coherent response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
