JioPhone Next: All you need to know about this smartphone
Reliance Jio and Google created a smartphone called JioPhone Next, considered the cheapest smartphone in the market. The JioPhone Next launches at ₹6,499.
Though, the smartphone doesn’t meet the specs of the competitive phones in this price segment. However, the company has a different financial approach.
The phone may be purchased for Rs 1,999, and the remaining EMIs can be paid over 18 or 24 months. But, for this scheme, there is an additional charge for a processing fee of ₹501. So, finally, you have to pay ₹2,500 to take over the smartphone.
The specifications are Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The smartphone runs on Pragati OS, which was created on Android by Reliance Jio.
Furthermore, JioPhone Next has a peculiar feature that can translate any text or image on the screen with regional languages. It has Dual SIM support with a restriction of compulsory Jio SIM in one of the slots.
A new company from Alphabet used AI for drug discovery: Report from The Verge
The new company, Isomorphic Laboratories, will capitalise on that achievement by developing tools to benefit in the discovery of novel medications.
DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis will also be the CEO of Isomorphic, even though the two companies will remain standalone.
According to her, Isomorphic will attempt to develop models, that can predict how medications will interact with the body. It will use DeepMind’s protein structure analysis to find out how the proteins interact with one another.
Instead of developing its medications, the organisation may market its models. According to a spokesman for The Verge, it will focus on building collaborations with pharmaceutical industries.
DeepMind and Isomorphic’s projected work might help break down various research barriers. Nevertheless, they aren’t a simple answer to the innumerable obstacles of drug development.
Orbital Prime Project: Space Force launches the program for on-orbit services
The United States Space Force is launching a new project to promote commercially produced orbital technology.
The “Orbital Prime” initiative will focus on the growing market segment acknowledged as OSAM (i.e.) on-orbit servicing, assembly, and manufacturing.
That comprises a wide range of technologies for repairing and refuelling existing spacecraft. In addition, they are also used to removing orbital trash and developing new space capabilities.
SpaceWERX, the space-focused wing of the Air Force technological incubator AFWERX, operates Orbital Prime.
Lt. Col. Brian Holt, program co-leader at AFWERX, said that Debris removal is the prime aim of this program.
Galaxy A13: Samsung’s new low-end smartphone with a 50MP camera
Samsung is trying a different approach to stimulate the low-end market, where margins are low although the competition is tough.
According to the rumours, the Galaxy A13 will include a waterdrop-style notch display, a triple back camera arrangement with three sensors stacked one on top of the other.
Cammsys and Namuga, both from South Korea, are the Galaxy A13’s camera providers.

The MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC in the Galaxy A13 5G will be 2.8 times quicker than the MediaTek Helio P35 chip in the Galaxy A12.
The Galaxy A13 will have a 5,000mAh battery and compatibility for 25W fast charging.
Finally, the price of the Galaxy A13 is expected to be around ₹19,000.
NASA: Asteroid Impact Mission to study the Earth’s defence
NASA is wrapping up arrangements to launch Earth’s first planetary defence system on November 23, which will shield humans from asteroid collisions.
The space agency said that the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft is ready for launch. The final testing is nearly complete with launch rehearsals.
DART will travel almost 7 million kilometres from Earth to the twin asteroid system Dimorphos and Didymos.
When it arrives, it will collide with Dimorphos at a speed of about 24,140 kilometres per hour.
Therefore, The key goal of the collision is to see if such a collision may alter the orbit of the asteroid system.
