SMART GOVERNANCE CENTRE – Ripon Building Complex

Greater Chennai Corporation has planned and commissioned the construction of a new administrative building within the Ripon building campus, Chennai. The building will facilitate Command, Control and Disaster Response Centre. And it having known as Smart Governance Centre funded by Chennai Smart City Limited (CSCL).

The smart governance centre had planned and does having under construction from March 2021 in the Ripon building campus. The total super built-up area of the smart governance centre is 51,536 ft2 or 4790 m2. Subsequently, The centre does construct at the cost of ₹40.5 crores. The building would house the professionals working on the Smart City projects. The Functional spaces – are the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC), Innovation Hub and additional working space for the GCC. Along with the governance centre, an elevated pedestrian walkway – termed the Skywalk is under construction. Moreover, The building is designed based on the green building concept to achieve LEED Platinum and IGBC Platinum green ratings. The concept helps to build low environmental impact buildings. Thus, helping in maintaining constant co-relation with man-made structures and the natural environment.

C.R.Narayana Rao Architects is the consultant for the new CMRL head office building. The building is going to be a basement + ground + 12 floors structure. Previously, it was given the approval to build up to 9 floors, now CMDA authorised to be build up to 12 floors accordingly construction is going on. The New Chennai Metro Rail Ltd headquarters planned as a Gold-rated Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified green building. Specifically, the building has constructed as highly efficient in energy, cost-saving, water-efficient and high in indoor environmental quality.

SIPCOT Aerospace Park

Department of Industries under the Government of Tamil Nadu established the governmental agency TIDCO 56 years ago in 1965. TIDCO – Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation is developing India’s largest aero park in Tamil Nadu. In the year 2018, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in Oragadam, the suburban region of Chennai city (Detroit of Asia) laid the foundation stone for the SIPCOT aerospace park. The total area of developing aerospace builds up to 245 acres which are expandable up to 700 acres in the future.

The total investment in development has estimated at ₹198 crores which will be said to attract ₹1,000 crores. The aerospace park is located 15 km from Proposed Greenfield Airport and 40 km from Chennai seaport. The developing aero park facilitates Metal/ composite manufacturing facilities, Avionics, Technology and IT services, Assembly and maintenance facilities, and research and development. The project will improvise infrastructure around the region.

Pattabiram Tidel Park - IT Infrastructure projects

PATTABIRAM TIDEL PARK – IT INFRASTRUCTURE

Chennai Corporation planned to distribute the development of an Information technological park along the Northern Chennai region. TIDEL Park is joint venture development of two Tamil Nadu government agencies TIDCO and ELCOT. The first TIDEL park had developed in Taramani, Chennai. Indeed, Tidel Park in Pattabiram is one of the most necessitate ongoing infrastructure projects in Chennai. With a total floor area of 12,80,000 sqft. The second Tidel park had built-in Coimbatore with a floor area of 14,18,665 sq. ft. Now, the government has also planned for a third TIDEL park and developing it in Pattabiram, Avadi city.

TIDEL park 3 coming up on 45 acres of land on Chennai – Tiruvallur high road in the western suburb of Chennai. TIDEL park 3 will be developed in 3 phases. The first phase of the TIDEL Park project will be built as ground + twenty-one floors with 5,57,000 sqft. The most important need for the selection of the location is to spread the traffic movement which is now narrowed to the southern regions of Chennai and to develop the infrastructure in the northern suburb of Chennai city.

The project with a budget was built of three hundred and ninety-four crores (394 crores). Kilambakkam bus terminus (KMBT) covers a total area of 6,40,000 sqft. Further, It consists of 14 platforms in 8 bus fingers along with 14 acres of land. KMBT includes 130 government bus bays 85 omnibus bays and 300 parking spaces in 4 acres for spare buses and 2 acres for individual vehicles such as cars and two-wheelers with a capacity of 275 and 3,582 respectively.
