India’s first home-grown members-only work and social lifestyle club – The Quorum
The Quorum, India’s first home-grown members-only work and social lifestyle club, has announced the signing of its newest and largest club in Hyderabad. It will be operational by the middle of 2023.
This is part of a strategy to create a pan-India network of private members’ clubs. As the first phase of its growth, The Quorum plans to extend to three additional cities in the next three years.
The Hyderabad club will be the largest club in The Quorum’s existing portfolio, spanning two storeys and 70,000 square feet.
The firm has offices in Gurgaon and Mumbai, where it occupies around 80,000 square feet of excellent real estate in Gurgaon’s DLF Two Horizon Center and Mumbai’s One World Center.
The Quorum Hyderabad is advantageously located at the crossroads of the city’s major business and residential sectors, adjacent to HITEC City, Jubilee, and Banjara Hills. Sattva Group collaborated with Blackstone Real Estate India to create Knowledge City.
The Quorum Hyderabad will have a 110-seat luxury co-working space co-located with the club under the TBQ (The Business Quarter) name, with seamless access to members’ areas.
A 15,000 sq ft open-air roof-top patio and pool with several eating and entertainment zones is also unique to The Quorum Hyderabad.
The club, which spans numerous levels, will feature two different primary member zones: one for work and one for play.
WHO research says bacteria that cause bloodstream infection show drug resistance during Covid
In 2020, the World Health Organization gathered data from 87 nations and discovered that during the first wave of the Covid-19 virus, bacteria that frequently cause bloodstream infections had a high degree of medication resistance.
According to WHO studies, medication resistance in bacteria that cause bloodstream infection was greater than 50%. Typically, the bacterium causes life-threatening illnesses such as Klebsiella pneumonia and Acinetobacter spp.
Concerns about drug resistance in bacteria, often known as superbugs, are not new, and the abuse or misuse of medical medications that are widely used across the world contribute to the development of such so-called superbugs.
Antimicrobial resistance is classified as an urgent global health hazard by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to the WHO, approximately 5 million people died in 2019 as a result of drug-resistant microorganisms.
Drug-resistant bacteria constitute a serious threat to all aspects of human health, and future pandemics may become more complicated if this part of health research is neglected.
Does avoiding dairy really helps you in your diet? Expert says
“Dairy, milk, and milk products continue to be one of the most nutritious foods that one can add to their diet to guarantee appropriate supply of nutrients and excellent diversity of intestinal bacteria,” Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar said.
She adds that milk and milk products have been consumed by many civilizations for centuries.
The expert also advised individuals to avoid drinking milk if they dislike it or cannot digest it. However, it is not necessary to convert to alternative industrialised milk, because it is regular milk and milk products that provide optimum gut health.
She continued by adding that if one has PCOS or thyroid issues, or is pregnant or nursing, they can still have dairy and not abstain completely.
Dietician Garima Goyal agreed, stating that milk is a healthy and healthful diet rich in proteins, vitamins, and vital minerals such as calcium.
By avoiding milk and its components, we are eliminating an entire food category from our diet. However, the debate over whether to exclude dairy entirely is not as simple as it appears.
Migraine can be maintained by changing some lifestyle routine
“Lifestyle has a great impact on migraine management,” Dr Vivek Loomba says. He is a consultant Pain Physician, at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi. He also discussed methods for gradually managing the condition.
Meditation, yoga, and breathing techniques can all be beneficial. These exercises can help to calm the brain and body while also alleviating pain. They also guarantee that the digestive system, the abdomen, and the nerves work properly.
Drinking plenty of water and herbal teas may help you manage your discomfort. Because many migraines are caused by dehydration, increasing your fluid intake may help to alleviate the discomfort.
Getting enough rest. Exhaustion might be the source of a migraine or headache. Sleeping at a regular schedule and for 7-9 hours each night may help the body work normally.
Moderate physical activity: Exercises help to keep the neurological system in good working order.
Stress and triggers: Relieve stress by doing breathing techniques or meditation. Stress severely exhausts the neurological system. Knowing what triggers your migraines might help you manage them.
Taking nap in the afternoon has some health benefits: Experts say
Several studies have found that an afternoon can be beneficial to your brain, but the duration is important.
According to research published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, while a 30-90-minute sleep appears to provide brain advantages in older persons, anything more than an hour may cause cognitive issues.
“For some people, having a sleep in the afternoon may work as a reset button, enabling them to wake up feeling renewed and prepared to continue their day. “While napping stops the individual from going profoundly asleep, it does allow the buildup of fatigue to swiftly disappear, which promotes alertness following the nap,” said Dr Vipul Gupta. He is the Chief of Neurointerventional Surgery and Co-Chief of the Stroke Unit at Artemis Hospital in Gurugram. He went on to say that those who don’t nap sleep longer and wake up with significant sleep inertia.
Dr Gowri Kulkarni, Head of Medical Operations at MediBuddy, agreed, saying that taking brief naps may absolutely assist an individual in a variety of ways.
“Short afternoon nap gives several advantages including relaxation, reduced fatigue, greater attentiveness, and improved mood. It also helps with performance, such as faster response speed and greater memory,” she added.
