Gennova Biopharma has created India’s first mRNA Covid vaccine

Pune’s Gennova Biopharmaceuticals have created India’s first locally made mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.

It is poised to be a game-changer since it can be kept at temperatures ranging from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, according to Dr N K Arora, who chairs the COVID-19 working group of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (NTAGI).

Several lakhs of dosages have been made at Gennova Biopharmaceuticals, and officials are optimistic. The key goal was to create and make the mRNA vaccine inexpensive and transportable.

Scientists, biotechnologists, pharmacists, and manufacturing employees at the company laboured for nearly a year and a half to develop the Indian version of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.

Happy Father’s Day 2022: Wish and honour your father on this special day

Father’s Day will be observed on June 19 this year. On this day, we honour our dads and father figures, as well as the effect they have had on our lives. Fathers are always our heroes.

They teach us the value of perseverance and devotion. Growing up on our dads’ shoulders, witnessing them be our greatest friends, and fleeing to them whenever we have a problem — they are our first love and our hero. On Father’s Day, we recognise their efforts to make our lives better and simpler.

This is the day to treat our fathers and show them that we would be nothing without them. Children arrange gifts and organise activities to make their fathers and father figures feel special on this day.

Overdosage of Vitamin B12 can cause side effects: Experts

According to experts, an overdose of Vitamin B12 is extremely rare, but it can have serious consequences. Those who receive B12 injections are more likely to have side effects.

These injections are claimed to have a faster rate of absorption than oral supplements, which is why they can have negative effects. As a result, the injections must only be administered if prescribed by a doctor.

It is suggested that people aged 14 and up take 2.4 micrograms of B12 daily. While pregnant women should consume 2.6 micrograms, nursing women should consume only 2.8 micrograms.

Finally, doctors recommend 25 to 100 micrograms of B12 for anyone over the age of 50.

A new study on Vitamin D tablets gave a shocking result!

Researchers indicate that vitamin D tablets taken with or without calcium have no effect on bone fracture rates in the first big randomised controlled trial in the United States, which was financed by the federal government.

The findings, published in The New England Journal of Medicine, apply to persons with osteoporosis as well as those who have vitamin D deficiency based on blood testing.

The trial was part of a larger vitamin D study called VITAL. The first phase of VITAL discovered that vitamin D did not protect study participants from cancer or cardiovascular disease.

It also did not prevent falls, enhance cognitive performance, lower atrial fibrillation, modify body composition, decrease migraine frequency, improve stroke outcomes, protect against macular degeneration, or alleviate knee pain.
