Kashi Vishwanath Dham: PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the revamped Indian pilgrimage temple

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor on 13 December 2021. This new corridor connects the temple to the banks of the Ganga river.

Prior to the renovation, the key religious pilgrimage centre for Hindus was barely 3,000 square feet in size. It presently covers a total area of 500,000 square feet.

The construction cost of Kashi Vishwanath Dham is around ₹339 crore. PM Modi opened 23 buildings as a part of phase one of the project.

Pilgrims can use a range of amenities such as tourist facilitation centres, city museums, observation galleries, food courts and many more.

Masterplan Chennai: MK Stalin unveils the 3rd masterplan for the capital city of Tamil Nadu

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin said that the third master plan for Chennai does have planned with a focus on combating floods, urbanisation, traffic disruptions, and other city-related issues. The master plan is for the city development from 2026 to 2046.

He also stated that a commercial centre does have planned for Pattinapakkam in Chennai, India. And that plans are in the works to upgrade the Koyambedu integrated market and bus terminal, the Madhavaram bus terminus, and the Sathangadu Iron Market to world standards.

The Chief Minister also stated that the authorities are working to make the state slum-free by 2031. And that plans are in the works to deliver 9.5 lakh residences to the people under the poverty line over the next ten years.


₹1,242 crores worth of infrastructural projects for Salem District of Tamil Nadu initiated: MK Stalin

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin, announced ₹1,242 crores worth of projects for Salem district, Tamil Nadu, India on 11 December 2021.

These projects rolled out under two statewide schemes: Nammakku Naame Thittam (NNT) and ‘Nagarpura Velai Vaippu Thittam (NVVT).

This project includes an underground drainage system, amenities for increased drinking water supply, an expressway, and also a textile industry.

In addition, MK Stalin said that the government is implementing an initiative for guaranteeing the uninterrupted supply of drinking water. Furthermore, this initiative is worth ₹158 crores.

On the other hand, the government implements the underground drainage system project in the corporation areas at a cost of ₹530 crores. The underground system spans around 520 kilometres.


Nitin Gadkari announced that NH-334B would be nearing completion by next year

Union Minister of India, Nitin Gadkari, said that the completion of National Highway-334B would be by next year of January on 12 December 2021. This highway starts at Baghpat near the UP-Haryana border and ends at Rohna in Haryana.

Nitin Gadkari has tweeted that 93% of this highway project does have completed. And anticipating to complete before three months than the stipulated time.

This highway helps in bypassing the Delhi traffic from Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan. The Minister stated that the NH-334B also intersects the NH-44, enabling travellers with direct connection to Chandigarh and Delhi.


Investing in UK’s largest biofuel storage facility: Stanlow Terminals

Stanlow Terminals Limited has announced plans to invest in the development of the United Kingdom‘s largest biofuels storage centre in the northwest of England for the next three years.

Stanlow Terminals is a part of Essar Oil UK. This is Stanlow Terminals’ strategic goal of becoming the UK’s leading provider of bulk liquid storage and energy infrastructure solutions.

However, it will provide 300,000 cubic metres of capacity to clients to help them achieve the UK’s net-zero transition.

This investment reflects increased demand from partners and clients seeking storage facilities and expertise in future fuel handling.
