Miami Grand Prix 2022: Max Verstappen wins the inaugural

Max Verstappen stormed to an impressive win for Red Bull, beating Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc at the first Miami Grand Prix.

On the first lap, the 24-year-old Dutchman overtook the pole-sitter Monegasque driver. And remained in front throughout a mainly processional race.

He finished 3.78 seconds ahead of Leclerc for his third Grand Prix victory of the season and 23rd of his career.

Carlos Sainz finished third in the second Ferrari after fighting against Sergio Perez in the second Red Bull.

George Russell finished fifth ahead of Mercedes teammate and seven-time winner Lewis Hamilton.

Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas finished seventh, ahead of Alpines’s Esteban Ocon. Fernando Alonso, Ocon’s teammate finishes eleventh with Williams’ Alex Albon finishing ninth.


Tata IPL 2022: CSK has beaten DC by 91 runs; Marking their 4th victory this season

Chennai Super Kings knocked the Delhi Capitals out for 117 to clinch a 91-run victory in IPL 2022 on May 8.

DC experienced early difficulties chasing a 209-run target, with debutants KS Bharat and David Warner departing inside the Powerplay.

After the early wickets, Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant tried a counter-attack. But attempted one shot too many, and Moeen Ali disqualified both players.

Their wickets precipitated a batting collapse, with DC going from 72/3 to 85/7 in 21 deliveries.

Moeen Ali took three wickets and conceded only 13 runs in four overs. While Mukesh Choudhary, Simarjeet Singh, and Dwayne Bravo each took two wickets.

Earlier, Devon Conway scored 87 runs, and Gaikwad scored 41 and thus made a 110-run partnership. MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube contributed significantly with a high strike rate to CSK’s 208/6 in 20 overs.

Due to this victory, CSK has now climbed to eighth position pushing behind the KKR with a net run rate of 0.028.


Doctor Strange 2 Box Office: Record-breaking opening for Sam Raimi’s new superhero movie

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ starring Benedict Cumberbatch, is a box office success in India.

The big-ticket entertainment from Marvel Studios is the biggest Hollywood opening of 2022. Further, it is now the fourth-highest Hollywood film Day 1 opening of all time.

It also had the fourth-highest opening weekend of any Hollywood picture in history. The gross box office haul for ‘Doctor Strange 2’ in India was a whopping Rs ₹94.64 crore.

Doctor Strange 2 has grossed $450 million globally in its first three days. That includes $185 million from the United States and $265 million from other countries.

MCU’s Doctor Strange 2 movie has introduced more new characters than ever before. This film would be a visual spectacular like the prequel.


Avatar 2 teaser is now available on YouTube; “The Way of Water” is the title of the sequel

‘Avatar’ team has unveiled the title of James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel at CinemaCon on April 27. “Avatar: The Way of Water” is the title of the film.

Now, the teaser trailer has released by the team on their official Youtube channel on May 9.

Cameron looks to be setting visual benchmarks with the sequels as he did with the first 2009 picture.

The teaser depicts various regions of Pandora, an Earth-like habitable extrasolar moon of the gas giant Polyphemus from the Alpha Centauri system.

The blueness of it all pervades the whole trailer. So far, Avatar 2 appears to be aesthetically spectacular and promises to be more family-oriented.

The sequel of Avatar will hit the theatres on December 16, 2022.


Carlos Alcaraz defeats Alexander Zverev and wins the Madrid Open trophy

Carlos Alcaraz of Spain won the Madrid Open Finals on May 8, defeating German Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-1 in 62 minutes.

The triumph in less than an hour extended the 19-year-winning old’s streak to ten games.

On his path to the final, Alcaraz defeated Rafael Nadal and world #1 Novak Djokovic, a first in a clay court competition, and will move up to No. 6 in the world on Monday.

“This tournament is meaningful to me since I came and watched it when I was seven or eight,” Alcaraz remarked.

The German saved three points before serving his fifth double fault of the match, giving Alcaraz the win.
