Thaipusam: Singapore has nominated the Tamil festival for UNESCO’s cultural heritage list

Thaipusam is a colourful temple festival held annually here by Hindus of Tamil heritage. It is one of ten items nominated by Singapore for inclusion on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).

Vegetarian diet may reduce cancer risk: New Study

Dr Ayan Basu, Radiation Oncology specialist, HCG EKO Cancer Center, Kolkata, agreed with the study’s findings. He says, pursuing a vegetarian diet can significantly reduce the incidence of developing not only colorectal or other gastrointestinal cancer. But will also help decrease overall cancer incidence in the population.”

Covid-19: Abu Dhabi government lifts off the restrictions for foreign travellers

Abu Dhabi has joined the list of nations that have lifted the restriction for fully vaccinated inbound travellers to fly into the Emirates without undergoing a Covid PCR test.

Delta 105 Army Theme Park now has the Longest Zipline in Delhi NCR

The longest zipline in the Delhi NCR can be found just 30 minutes drive from Gurugram at Delta 105, an army theme park in Manesar, Haryana.

The zipline spans 224 metres and begins at 40 metres height, making it the tallest zipline in Delhi NCR. It can accommodate two persons at the same time.

The park, located in the hamlet of Pada in Haryana, comprises 20 acres of ground and offers a variety of interesting activities. In addition, for lodging, there are ten luxurious tents with associated toilets.

Among the activities available are maze navigation, basket, archery, paintball, and a guided tour of a warzone. Further, cultural events include magic performances, puppet shows, and ghoomar dancing.
