6G Technology

In our habitual life, the smartphone has turned out to be a part of our body. No one ever sleeps without checking out your smartphone. The boom of social media boosted even more smartphone users. Every day social media users require the internet, exceptionally at high speed for surfing and scrolling. And, here comes the play of 6g technology in India or all over the world to enhance the experience of the internet.

The massive evolution in mobile network technology takes internet usage exponentially. Moreover, this development has created many professions for internet users. Thus, growth in mobile network technology increases the number of smartphone usage. If you were using a phone from the beginning of the millennial era, you would have known how the phone and internet changed the current world and economic system.

Do you want to know an interesting fact that I know about you? If you are reading this blog on your mobile, then definitely you are a 4g user. Ha-ha, just kidding. Still now, far and wide, smartphone users are using 4g technology, and 5g may roll over in 2 years.

But, do you know that trail testing of 6g communication technology has not yet finished? Yes, you heard right. We haven’t started to use 5g, but the first trial of next-gen is over. What is this ‘G’ denote? It’s just a representation of the generation—Next-generation, mobile network technology, is indicated with a succeeded number.

6G Technology Introduction

6g technology is a wireless network connection with several sub-millimetre waves or terahertz waves that are 10x times smaller than the millimetre waves used in 5g technology. The first 6g chip recorded the highest speed of 11GB/s, which can download 100 hours of Netflix in a second.

To implement 6g cellular technology worldwide, constructing many network service transmitters into a confined terrestrial zone called cells to connect every signal. Since 6g waves can penetrate or reach more considerable distances like other generation wireless networks.

Similarly, 5g technology is also experiencing this same issue. Some slight hindrances in the travel of waves can disconnect your signals. Therefore, connecting these smaller zones called cells into a more extensive network can be done by AI technology.

Why is the need for 6G so crucial before the rollover of 5g technology?

Many analysts say that 5g technology won’t reach many countries. It has many drawbacks and is considered to be less reliable than 4g. The era of automation has started everywhere around the world. Imagine the world is full of automated cars like Tesla, and they run with the help of network connectivity. If you have a Tesla, and the world is crowded with this connectivity, your car gets a lack of signal. Then, it may lead to a disaster when you are in auto-pilot mode. The auto-pilot mode works with the wireless network. If the network traffic is high, it can’t recognize the nearby vehicles. So, fast and reliable technology is essential to move further in the automation world.

6G Technology Mobile Network Advantages

Everything you do now that requires a network connection will be vastly better on a 6G network. One of the main advantages of 6g technology is that it covers a vast region. This implies that fewer towers are required to cover a given amount of land. This is especially useful if you want to place towers in places where it rains regularly or where trees and foliage abound.

6G will transform the healthcare industry by removing time and space boundaries through remote operations and assuring healthcare workflow efficiencies. The next advantage is that it can handle higher data speeds. The most significant thing here is that this network will only be available in mmWave frequencies like 5g. Current technologies are not yet capable of dealing with such high-frequency waves.

6G Mobile Technology Disadvantages

One of the main drawbacks of 6g technology is that it is hard to use. Many individuals may find it more perplexing. Furthermore, it is not simple to learn. For the average person, learning this new technology might take a long time and patience.

Secondly, consumers have to pay a large price, which is more expensive than in previous generations. The 6th generation technology is incompatible with older devices. As it has a dilemma for many users who wish to utilise this new network but can’t do so since their gadget does not support it. Furthermore, others fear that this might lead to concerns in the future as these sorts of technology become more common and utilised daily.

Network generations

Previous Generations of Mobile Network Technology

5G

The mobile industry is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 5G network. According to some analysts, the network will not just transform how we use our phones. But also how we connect our gadgets to the internet. The network’s increased speed and capacity will herald new IoT trends including linked automobiles, smart cities, and IoT in the home and workplace.

4G

The launch of 4G took the groundbreaking 3G one step further. It is five times quicker than a 3G network and can theoretically give rates of up to 100Mbps. This network, which can connect tablets, laptops, and smartphones, should be supported by all mobile devices introduced after 2013. Users may enjoy lower latency, improved voice quality, easier access to instant messaging applications and social media, high-quality streaming, and quicker downloads with 4G.

3G

3G mobile networks are still in use today, but only when the better 4G signal is unavailable. Third-generation mobile networks have revolutionised mobile connection and cell phone capabilities. When compared to 2G, 3G was more quickly and could transport more data. That implies that for the first time, consumers will be able to video chat, share files, access the internet, watch TV online, and play online games on their mobile devices. Cell phones were no longer merely for talking and texting when 3G. They were also the core of social connectedness.

2G

In 1991, Radiolinja introduced the 2G mobile network in Finland. This new mobile network used digital signals rather than analogue signals, which greatly enhanced its security and capacity. Users on 2G could send SMS and MMS messages, and when GPRS was launched in 1997, users could receive and send emails while on the road.

1G

1G mobile network technology was dependent on analogue radio technologies. This meant that users could only make phone calls and could not send or receive text messages. Nippon company from Japan first introduced the 1G mobile network in 1979. Later, the United States deployed the technology in 1980. Cell towers were erected all around the nation, allowing signal coverage to be gained from long distances to make it work. However, the network was unstable and had some security flaws.

Conclusion:

6g can advance the world into a futuristic planet, as you have seen in the movies. Every time there is an advancement in technology enters us into a significantly newer world. But, this time, the 6g network technology makes it easy to create the virtual world or metaverse.

Augmented reality is the nearing future where we all going to live. The connecting bridge between virtual reality and the natural world is Augmented Reality. And, this technology’s advancement can be attained only by the 6g development more reliable to people. Every new thing always happens with some sacrifice.

6g technology consumes more energy, and already the world’s most enormous iceberg in Antarctica has broken into two parts recently. The global warming effect affects the world more drastically than before. The world has to prepare for the advancement of technology and the control of pollution.
